Water Purification Flow Chart
Basic system
composed of 4
water purification stage, major difference between RO and conventional
water filtration system is the use of reverse osmosis membrane filtration as
its major component.
The first stage uses
particulate sediment filtration scheme capable of filtering 5 micron
diameter. It removes targets the rust, slut and sands which are commonly
presence in the plumbing network. The second layer contains high quality
granular activated carbon capable of removing majority of chlorine,
fluoride, organics substances, taste and odor, etc. The third layer contains
the 0.0001 micron pore size membrane capable of removing all the rest of
harmful substances including heavy metal ions, but will retain a good
portion of mineral. The final stage is activated carbon post filtration
which optimize the taste while retaining the high quality of water.
Typically, less than
30ppm TDS is obtainable. It is recommended also to flush out the tank if the
system is left idle for over 3 days in order to prevent the use of any dead
water.
